Lukas Stander

Lukas Stander is a full time photographer from Stellenbosch. He started taking photos from the age of 13 and have always loved art as he grew up in a very artistic household. Since his childhood years he chose to use visual images to communicate with rather than words.

He focuses mainly on portraits and landscape photography. “Landscape photography is a favorite category of mine as I absolutely love the place where I feel myself most comfortable.’

‘I have my first solo exhibition coming up on the 22 November until the 12 December at MOK gallery, Muratie Wine Estate, Stellenbosch. 45 of my best photos, landscapes and portraits, will be shown. The theme of this exhibition is ‘Through my eyes’. I want to show people how I see the world, through my eyes and thus would like to emphasize in what a beautiful place we are living.’
